Cookie Policy for Viridis
Last updated: 7 June 2026This Cookie Policy explains how Viridis uses cookies and similar technologies on the public website available at www.viridisconsultancy.com.
The public Viridis website is an informational website and does not require visitors to create an account in order to browse its pages.
This Cookie Policy should be read together with the Privacy Policy.
1. Scope of this Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy applies to the public Viridis website, including public pages such as the homepage, services pages, articles, downloads, webinar pages, contact pages, newsletter forms and consultation booking pages.
This Cookie Policy does not provide the full cookie information for the EcoTrack ESG assessment application. EcoTrack has its own dedicated Cookie Policy, which explains the technical cookies and similar technologies used for the EcoTrack application.
Users should review the dedicated EcoTrack Cookie Policy before creating an EcoTrack account or using the EcoTrack application.
2. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small text files stored on a user’s device when visiting a website. They can help a website function correctly, remember preferences, improve security or support analytics where consent has been given.
Similar technologies may include localStorage, sessionStorage, scripts, pixels, embedded content tools and other browser-based storage or tracking mechanisms.
Cookies may be:
- Session cookies, which are generally deleted when the browser is closed;
- Persistent cookies, which remain on the device for a defined period or until deleted by the user;
- First-party cookies, set by the website being visited;
- Third-party cookies, set by external providers whose tools or content are loaded on the website.
3. Technologies used on the public Viridis website
3.1 Strictly necessary technologies
These technologies are necessary for the public website to work correctly, to remember cookie preferences, to maintain security, to process forms and to prevent abuse or technical errors.
Strictly necessary technologies may be used without analytics or marketing consent because they are required to provide the website or a service requested by the user.
3.2 Cookie preference storage
The public Viridis website stores the user’s cookie preference so that the cookie banner does not appear at every visit and so the website can remember whether analytics cookies were accepted or rejected.
This preference may be stored through localStorage under a key such as viridis_cookie_consent_v1.
3.3 Analytics technologies
The public Viridis website may use Google Analytics to understand website traffic and improve public website content, but only after the user has given analytics consent through the cookie banner.
If analytics consent is rejected, Google Analytics should not be loaded by the public Viridis website.
3.4 Form and communication technologies
Contact forms, newsletter forms and consultation request forms may use technical mechanisms necessary to submit requests, prevent spam, maintain security and record consent where required.
Newsletter, transactional email, contact management or consultation booking services may be supported by Brevo and related technical infrastructure.
4. Google Analytics on the public website
Google Analytics may be used only on the public Viridis website and only after analytics consent has been given through the cookie banner.
Google Analytics may collect information such as:
- pages visited;
- date and time of visit;
- approximate location;
- browser and device information;
- referral source;
- interaction and session information.
Viridis uses this information to understand how visitors interact with public website content and to improve the website experience.
Google Analytics is not intentionally loaded on EcoTrack application pages under /esg-assessment.
5. EcoTrack application
EcoTrack is the ESG self-assessment application made available through the Viridis website infrastructure. EcoTrack has its own dedicated Cookie Policy.
The EcoTrack Cookie Policy explains the technical cookies and similar technologies used for authentication, account security, session management, subscription management, payment redirection, questionnaire functionality and application operation.
This public Viridis Cookie Policy does not replace the dedicated EcoTrack Cookie Policy .
EcoTrack application pages do not intentionally load Google Analytics, advertising, marketing or profiling technologies. The public Viridis website may use Google Analytics only after analytics consent has been given.
6. Third-party tools and embedded content
Some public pages may include or link to third-party tools or embedded content. Depending on the page and the way the tool is implemented, these providers may use cookies or similar technologies.
6.1 Brevo booking or newsletter tools
Viridis may use Brevo for newsletter management, transactional emails, contact management and consultation booking tools.
If Brevo forms, booking widgets or scripts are embedded directly on the public website, they may load third-party resources. Where such technologies are not strictly necessary, they should be controlled through consent where required.
6.2 YouTube videos and webinar content
Some public pages may include YouTube videos or webinar embeds.
When a YouTube video is loaded or played, Google/YouTube may process technical data and may set cookies or similar technologies depending on the embed configuration, the user’s browser, Google account status and privacy settings.
Where possible, Viridis should use privacy-friendly embedding options or click-to-load solutions so that video-related third-party resources are not loaded unnecessarily before user interaction.
7. Cookie and storage table
The exact cookies and storage technologies may vary depending on browser settings, provider configuration, user choices and future technical changes.
| Name / Technology | Provider | Category | Purpose | Duration |

8. Managing cookie preferences
When users first visit the public Viridis website, they may be shown a cookie banner allowing them to:
- accept analytics cookies;
- reject analytics cookies;
- open preferences;
- save their choice.
Users can later change their choice through the Cookie settings link in the website footer.
Rejecting analytics cookies does not prevent the use of strictly necessary technologies required for the public website to function.
9. Browser controls
Users can also manage or delete cookies through their browser settings.
Most browsers allow users to:
- view cookies;
- delete cookies;
- block third-party cookies;
- block all cookies;
- clear localStorage and site data;
- set preferences for specific websites.
Blocking all cookies or browser storage may affect website functionality and may prevent some forms, preferences or embedded tools from working correctly.
For any other browser, users should consult the official support pages of that browser.
10. Changes to this Cookie Policy
Viridis may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in technologies, providers, cookie names, analytics configuration or legal requirements.
The updated version will be published on this website with a revised “Last updated” date.
